Early start this morning up before dawn to give Volker a hand with the lifting-out of ‘Daydreamer’ in Penzance Harbour. It all goes well and the crane crew are calm and professional. All I have to do is hold the bow rope and assist in keeping the boat from swinging out either afloat in the water or afloat in the air. Always interesting to have several tons of object suspended precariously over head…
It turns into a beautiful day and Richard B and I take Marin-Marie out for a sail, beating down through an increasing westerly swell to Tater Du where we anchor for lunch in that little cove I’d found before, offering just enough shelter, and then cruised back with a strong tail wind. Delightful.
